The short version. It's a free family game. Treat others the way you want to be treated. Gold bars are points, not money. Be kind in chat, or we may remove you.
Who runs it
Golden Rule Game Time is made by Doug Golden. By using it, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. Contact: doug@1stplacebrands.com.
It's free
The game is free to play. There is nothing to buy inside it. If you download it from an app store, that store's own terms also apply.
Your account
- You sign in with Google. Keep your Google account safe; what happens under your sign-in is on you.
- Signing in is for people 13 and older. Younger children can play without an account.
- One account per person. Don't pretend to be someone else.
- You can delete your account any time in the app (tap your name, then Delete my account).
The Golden Rule at the table
- Be kind in chat and in your table name. No bullying, hate, threats, sexual content, or sharing anyone's private information.
- No cheating: no second accounts to play yourself, no arranged results, no tricks with the clock.
- Rude words in chat are masked. You can Hide anyone's messages and Report any message from the chat. A real person reads every report.
- We may remove messages, pictures, names or results, and may close accounts, that break these rules.
What you share
Your table name, chat messages and pictures are yours. You let us store and show them to the people your settings allow, only to run the game. Don't upload anything you don't have the right to share.
Gold bars and prizes
- Gold bars are points for winning. They have no cash value and can't be bought, sold, traded or cashed out. There is no betting of any kind.
- The monthly Golden Table prize is free to enter and has its own official rules, shown in the app next to the standings. No purchase necessary. Apple and Google are not sponsors of the prize and are not involved with it in any way.
No promises
We work hard to keep the game running and fair, but it is provided as is. Games can be interrupted, alerts can arrive late, and records can be lost. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses from using the game.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep playing after a change, the new terms apply.
